Dr. Vania Reyes Muñoz (PhD, Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile) conducts research on migration, racialization, belonging, and gender in urban spaces, focusing on Afro-descendant migrants in Santiago, Chile. She combines ethnographic, spatial, and visual approaches to understand how representations of the body, racial, national, and gender identities intersect in Latin American cities. She is part of the research group CAMINAR - Comparative Analysis of Migration and International Displacement in Las Américas.
