Successful migration is not just about legal status or jobs. It is also about belonging.The ERC-funded MENBELONG project aims to explore how single migrant men create strategies for belonging outside formal structures. It will study Syrians in Türkiye, Mexicans in Canada, Turks in Germany, Myanmarese in Thailand, andVenezuelans in Chile. Using surveys, interviews, archival research, and photo voice, MENBELONG aims to develop a cross-country comparative understanding of belonging for single migrant men.
